Life Support Technologies group is proud to host the Primary Hyperbaric Medicine Course (PHMC)* on two dates in 2019. This course is intended for MD, DO, DPM, NP, PA, APRN, RN, LPN, RT, EMT-P, EMT, active duty military corpsmen, and other health care professionals and administrators. The course is a prerequisite to becoming a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist or Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse, and for physicians seeking hyperbaric medicine credentialing with their hospitals.
This activity is a Designated Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
This activity has been reviewed and approved by the National Board or Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) as a basic hyperbaric medicine course. This activity meets one of the prerequisites to sit for the certification exam for CHT or CHRN.
The UHMS designates this live activity for a maximum of 40 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
Nurses receive 40 contact hours.

Course Summary
This 40-hour course is an interprofessional educational activity that provides a team approach to filling a knowledge gap and a first step toward credentialing or certification in this specialized field of medicine. It is approved as an introductory course in hyperbaric medicine by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society and the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology. Academics include currently accepted standards for the safe application of hyperbaric oxygen therapy pertaining to both monoplace and multiplace chambers. The comprehensive curriculum is presented by a faculty of experts.
